“Faith Over Fear”

“Once a task is begun, never leave it until it’s done. Be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all.”
Marcey grew up hearing these words from her Grandmother, her parents, and other spiritual leaders. This seemingly simple yet profound statement has shaped her professional, personal, & spiritual life – that no matter the size of an undertaking only the best effort will do.
Marcey is the founder & CEO of MineWrite Marketing & Communications LLC, a marketing and PR firm based in Memphis, Tennessee. Her passions as content creator, brand builder, social media strategist, and website manager are all expressed through her work at MineWrite Marketing. Whether speaking to audiences, writing scripts, designing graphics, laying out publications, or building other content to better establish clients’ brands, Marcey consistently delivers a solid and professional product.
Marcey also works as Community Relations Manager for the Tennessee Valley Authority, a
federal agency covering parts of seven southeastern states and the nation’s largest public
power provider specializing in energy, environmental stewardship, and economic development. She has held this role for five years. Marcey began working for TVA in 2018, when she became TVA’s Public and Community Relations Consultant, a Corporate Communications role focusing on public relations, media relations, social media management, and event planning and support.
Marcey’s work in city government was the springboard to her promotion to the federal level. Prior to moving to TVA, Marcey worked as Coordinator of Public Relations and Media for the City of Memphis from 2016 to 2018. In this capacity, she created a strategic partnership with a primetime news station which resulted in more than 100 free TV appearances highlighting the “bright spots” of city government and its services. She was promoted to this role following her work at Memphis Public Libraries as Supervisor of Public Relations for the Library System’s then-18 Greater Memphis locations.
Before taking on Corporate Communications and Marketing, Marcey got her start in newspaper reporting, TV news, broadcast radio, and also hosted a talk show for teens.
Marcey holds a Master of Science in Legal Studies from Kaplan University (currently Purdue Global), a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities / Journalism from LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, and an associates degree from Pulaski Technical College of North Little Rock, Arkansas.
However, Marcey’s favorite role and her life’s greatest accomplishments can be found running around at home. She is a Christian wife and mother of three children, ages 10, 8, and 4. She and her family attend St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, where she has worked in several capacities in service to GOD and others.
